Three days ago I informed our beloved Playandroid Magazine readers about the first game of the development studio Jenots, which is called “Mashballs”. Brace yourselves – the review is coming! The graphics are really cool, with bright colors. The sounds and the background music are cute and apt to the scenery, because the whole ball scheme looks adorable. The controls are super-easy, all you have to do is tap and drag.
There are always two sides of a medal. “Mashballs” has a lack of variation regarding the music tunes, because it never changes and it runs in an infinite loop. Furthermore the play balance between initiative and looking what happens it too unequal, although you can change the ball’s direction minimally. Round about 50 levels and the connection with Facebook and Twitter is nice, though I would expect more of a game with costs.
I have to say that “Mashballs” impressed me with its adorable and very stylish look. The idea of beaten up looking balls after the contact is funny and fresh, plus the developers promised, that there will be more levels in the future. Although there is room for improvement regarding the sounds and the controls, “Mashballs” definitely deserves our Bronze Medal. Congratulations!
